Fengate, in collaboration with Seasons Retirement Communities, Hi-Rise Group, and the LiUNA Pension Fund of Central and Eastern Canada (LPFCEC), has commenced construction on a new seniors’ community at 1105 McCraney in Oakville.
The groundbreaking event featured representatives from LiUNA, Fengate, Seasons Retirement Communities, Hi-Rise Group, SG Constructors, and Oakville Mayor Rob Burton. The ceremony marked the official start of development for the six-storey, 221-unit residence.
“This aging-in-place model underscores Fengate’s commitment to creating accessible, high-quality housing options for Canadians,” said a company spokesperson.
The 1105 McCraney project is designed to provide both Independent Supportive Living (ISL) and Memory Care (MC) suites, offering residents continuous care in one integrated community. A project rendering highlights the modern and inclusive vision for future residents.
This marks the first Greater Toronto Area development within the expanding Seasons Retirement portfolio, which currently spans 15 residences in Ontario, eight in Alberta, and two in British Columbia. Additional communities are also under development across Canada.
The development illustrates the shared mission of the LiUNA Pension Fund, Fengate, and its partners to provide seniors with supportive environments that promote independence, safety, and dignity.
