Schmid Makes History with 24 Saves
Akira Schmid made 24 saves for his second regular-season NHL shutout, leading the Vegas Golden Knights to a 1-0 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday night.
Ivan Barbashev scored the winning goal with 6:15 left in the second period, beating goalie John Gibson with a backhander off a rebound.
