EU Policy on Online Child Sex Abuse Images
The EU executive proposed a requirement for online platforms and messaging services to detect and report images and videos of child sex abuse, as well as attempts by predators to contact minors, in 2022.
However, it has been decided that the EU will not force these platforms to scan for such content.
No official statement has been released regarding the reason behind this decision.
