Pensievision has been awarded $1 million in investment after being named the winner of the Luminate NY OPI Accelerator competition.
The company, which has developed a 3D imaging approach for demanding environments, will use the funding to anchor its growth in the region. This includes engaging with local supply chains, hiring engineering talent from area universities, and partnering with Rochester-based design and manufacturing firms.

Luminate NY, administered by NextCorps, is the world’s largest business accelerator for emerging companies with technologies enabled by optics, photonics, and imaging. Four further companies have secured follow-on funding, with Pensievision also winning “Company of the Year” at the Luminate Finals 2025.
Pensievision’s 3D imaging approach can be applied to various fields, including medical diagnostics, factory floors, and orbital missions.
