Troy Man Pleads Guilty in Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash

A 19-year-old Troy man, Kemaury Everett, has pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter in Albany County Court.

Everett admitted to hitting and killing 93-year-old Charles Allendorph with his car at the intersection of Congress and Newark streets in Cohoes. Witnesses reported that Everett backed over Allendorph's body before leaving the scene and abandoning his vehicle.

Everett was arrested at his home and faced additional charges, including second-degree assault and leaving the scene of an incident without reporting. His plea satisfies these counts and a pending drug charge in another case.

Everett faces 5 to 15 years in prison when sentenced on January.
