Nearly 2,000 People Attend Community Event
Nearly 2,000 people attended Godmanchester's Apple Day at the Community Plant Nursery on October 11.
The free community event, hosted by Godmanchester Town Council, received support from over 30 volunteers and numerous local businesses and charities.
- Live performances from local bands Slightly Chilled and the Panic Steel Band
- A range of stalls
- The popular Pumpkin Patch
- Train rides provided by the Sawtry Miniature Railway Group, a new attraction
The team doubled their previous record of 200 rides in a day.
Volunteers Roy and Sarah demonstrated the traditional apple press, and the Godmanchester Community Plant Nursery Heritage Orchard yielded fruit that became part of the celebration.
