Apple's new base model 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 chip is available in Europe without a power adapter.
The device ships without a charger in several European countries, including the U.K., Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and Norway.
Meanwhile, customers in the U.S. and other countries still receive the 70W USB-C Power Adapter with their purchase.
An Apple spokesperson told French website Numerama that the decision anticipates a European regulation requiring manufacturers to offer customers the option to buy devices without chargers, starting in April.
The EU law allows companies to let customers choose whether to include a charger, but Apple has opted to remove it entirely.
