According to Jim Bowden of The Athletics, the Pirates have been listed as potential fits for several top 50 free agents, including Trent Grisham and Luis Arráez.
The Pirates have notable holes to fill in the lineup and bullpen, and although they have historically avoided substantial free agent signings, there is mounting pressure to make some larger moves.
Grisham is coming off a strong season with the Yankees, slashing .235/.348/.464 with career-highs in home runs (34) and RBI (74) in 143 games.
