Landmark New Report Shows Canadian Lobbyists Represent Major Polluters Alongside Environmental Groups
A new report by FMinus reveals a conflict of interest in Canadian lobbying, where environmental groups and major polluters share the same lobbyists.
Major Canadian environmental organizations and civil society groups are using lobbyists who also represent big polluters, according to the report.
“As the climate crisis gets worse for Canadians, there’s a hidden cause,”
said James Browning, founder and executive director of FMinus, in an interview with DeSmog.
The report was prepared in conjunction with Environmental Defence and re•generation, a youth climate advocacy organization.
