Argentina Midterm Elections: Results and Who Won
The government of President Javier Milei emerged victorious from Sunday’s legislative election, a crucial test for the two years remaining in his term.
La Libertad Avanza secured the most votes nationwide, with 40.84% of the vote, and even won Buenos Aires province, a Peronist stronghold.
“How beautiful violet looks on the country,”
President Milei said, referring to his party’s color, as he celebrated the triumph, measuring the government had crossed “the tipping point” for the country’s reconstruction.
The Peronist alliance came in second with 31.67%, while Provincias Unidas failed to gain traction.
