Israeli colonists plowed hundreds of dunums of Palestinian-owned agricultural land in preparation to seize it, according to local sources.
The incident occurred in the village of Sikka and the town of Beit Awa, west of Hebron, where groups of colonists from the illegal settlement of Negohot attacked farmland.
The colonists aim to take over these lands, which span over 1,000 dunums of fertile plains between Sikka and Beit Awa.
The head of Sikka village council stated that more than 500 dunums were plowed over the past few days, and emphasized that residents are present daily on their lands, confronting the colonists’ attempts to seize them.
The council head called on local and international institutions to support and protect the farmers and their property.
