Novi Man Allegedly Hijacks Ambulance After Rollover Crash
A Novi man allegedly hijacked an ambulance at the scene of a car crash on October 25, resulting in a fiery crash a few miles later, according to Novi police.
"This is unbelievable," said Cmdr. Robert Manar, of the Novi Police Department.
The incident occurred shortly after 3 p.m. at the scene of a two-vehicle rollover collision at 10 Mile and Novi roads, where Novi police officers and Medstar ambulance services were responding.
- An emergency medical technician was treating one of the drivers for minor injuries in the back of the ambulance.
- The driver of the other vehicle suddenly got into the driver's seat of the ambulance and took off, according to Cmdr. Manar.
