Israel’s West Bank Annexation Plan Sparks Palestinian Outrage
A senior Palestinian official has criticized Israel’s preliminary approval of two bills to impose its sovereignty over the occupied West Bank and one of its largest illegal settlements.
Mouayyad Shaaban, head of the Colonisation and Wall Resistance Commission under the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO), stated that the plan is
"a declaration of war."
Shaaban told Turkish news agency Anadolu that
"no Israeli decision or act can erase the Palestinian identity of the land."
The plan has sparked outrage among Palestinians, with many opposing Israel’s annexation efforts.
