Football: Commerce gets first win of 2025 over Banks County

Commerce is in the win column as the Tigers took down Banks County Friday night, 37-3.

The Tigers jumped on the board first as Jace Lyle went 53 yards untouched on their first offensive play to take a 7-0 lead.

After Banks County's Elijah Ariail hit a 29-yard field goal, Commerce scored twice more before halftime, including a Tate Kirk pass to Brennan Griffith to take a 22-3 lead into halftime.

From there, Kirk linked up with Ty Sorrells and Lyle ran another one in to get to the final score by the end of the third quarter.

Commerce will finish the regular season next week at home against Providence Christian, while Banks County hosts Oglethorpe County.
