A woman caused damage to a truck in a downtown intersection last summer, according to court hearings on Friday.
Ashley Biron was holding knives at Albert Street East and Bruce Street, threatening to kill someone on August 24, 2024, as stated by assistant Crown attorney Adrianna Mucciarelli.
Biron pleaded guilty to several charges, including possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, mischief, missing court three times, and failing to report to a probation officer. These incidents occurred between March 2024 and September 2025, as heard by Ontario Court Justice Andrew Buttazzoni.
She ran from police and said "I'm going to kill somebody,"
Biron held handlebars over her head. Justice Buttazzoni suggested that Biron may have been having a "mental health episode" when she hurled an item at the truck.
Biron has 33 days of pre-sentence custody and was given one-and-a-half days credit for each day of incarceration.
