A global internet outage has been impacting hundreds of websites and apps, leaving people unable to access social media, gaming, and banking apps.
The issue is believed to be linked to Amazon Web Services, which provides services to firms worldwide, with customers in the US being hit the worst.
Ronan Murphy, Chief Strategy Officer for Forcepoint, says things are slowly picking back up now.
- Users were unable to access their accounts on Zoom and WhatsApp.
Meanwhile, unrelated events included the development of a new leaflet titled 'Eating for a Healthy Heart' and the presentation of laptops to a school by Tommy O'Reilly of Fidelity Investments.
Kinaffe Community Garden and Dragon Boat Club, Ballina were also announced as winners, with Louise Jordan, originally from Bonniconlon, Ballina, being mentioned.
