Vicious Biscuit Expands Southern Roots Beyond Lowcountry

Charleston-based Vicious Biscuit is growing beyond the Lowcountry with new franchise locations, expanding its Southern breakfast brand nationwide.

The company's story began when co-founder and chef Michael Greeley created the Fat Boy biscuit. In 2017, he started a catering business based on the creation, hoping to grow a food truck business.

Co-founder and CEO George McLaughlin, who previously helped establish the franchise division of McAlister's Deli, joined the company and helped it expand.

Today, the chain has served 826,548 biscuits and has no plans to slow down. A key dish, The Flamethrower, is anchored by a biscuit, showcasing the company's focus on its Southern roots.
