Kenya Arts Festival Promotes Reparatory Justice
Amnesty International has voiced support for the upcoming "Wakati Wetu Festival" in Kenya, which will discuss "historical injustices, the ongoing impact of the slave trade and colonialism, and imagine what reparatory justice involves."
The festival, debuting on October 22-23 in Nairobi, aims to "resist, repair, and reclaim" and address the lasting injustices and inequities of Africa's subjugation under European colonialism.
