UC Davis Gorman Exhibition Spotlights Artworks by a Leader in Contemporary Native American Art
The Gorman Museum of Native American Art at University of California, Davis, presents a solo exhibition of works by Rick Bartow (1946-2016), a member of the Mad River band of the Wiyot Tribe, indigenous to Humboldt County in Northern California.
Bartow primarily created pastel, graphite, and mixed media drawings, wood sculpture, acrylic paintings, drypoint etchings, monotypes and a small number of ceramic works.
The installation showcases artworks created from 1979 to 2015 and runs through January 18.
