A team of four Marines from the headquarters regiment of 1st Marine Logistics Group emerged as winners among 15 squads in the inaugural Marine Corps-wide field communications competition.
The Thunderstruck Communications Team Competition, hosted by 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, was the first service-wide contest to test teams of Marines operating radios, networks, and communications gear.
The competition was organized by Marine Wing Communication Squadron 38, led by its commander, Lt.
