Sailing Update: Clipper Round The World Race
Charlie Cullen has stepped down as First Mate and will leave the Clipper 2025-26 Race in Punta del Este.
Lauren Corn, from Dorset, UK, will take over as the new First Mate of Washington, DC, joining the race for the remainder of the circumnavigation.
- Lauren will arrive in Punta del Este for Leg 2 Refresher Training on October 18.
- She comes from a sailing family and has experience in dinghy sailing, yacht instruction, and racing.

Lauren qualified as a Yachtmaster in Australia and led training levels at Clipper Race Training HQ.
