Governor Albert Bryan Jr. has introduced two significant pieces of legislation to the 36th Legislature.
The proposed "Act to Increase the Minimum Wage" aims to raise the territory-wide minimum wage from $10.50 to $15 an hour over three years, with incremental increases to $13 in 2026, $14 in 2027, and $15 in 2028.
"This phased minimum wage increase balances compassion with common sense,"
said Governor Bryan, emphasizing that the bill is designed to promote fairness, sustainability, and economic inclusion, benefiting all workers in the private sector.
In addition to the minimum wage increase, Governor Bryan has also introduced a new bill supporting small-scale breweries and distilleries.
