The Texas A&M football team, under coach Mike Elko, is among the SEC's best again, having reached the midway stretch of the season in control of its path to the SEC Championship Game and the College Football Playoff for the second year in a row.
Last year, the Aggies launched a 7-game winning streak after falling to Notre Dame in their season opener, reaching No. 10 in the Associated Press poll on October 27 after a convincing 38-23 win over LSU. However, losses to South Carolina and Auburn knocked them off course.
This season, Texas A&M has opened 6-0 overall and 3-0 in SEC play, avenging the loss to Notre Dame and reaching No. 4 in the AP poll heading into its road game at Arkansas.
The team still has a chance to reach the SEC Championship Game.
Texas A&M will play Arkansas on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
Author's summary: Texas A&M remains undefeated in football season.
