Saskatoon Hilltops Weather the Storm
The Saskatoon Hilltops battled adversity all season, and their regular-season finale was no exception. The team faced rain, wind, and snow, as well as a lengthy delay early in the second half.
“It is,” said Hilltops head coach Tom Sargeant, “what it is.”
Despite the challenging conditions, the Hilltops secured a 31-6 victory over the visiting Calgary Colts at the Gordie Howe Sports Complex. The team now moves on to the Prairie Football Conference playoffs, where they will face the Winnipeg Rifles.
According to Coach Sargeant,
“We’re going to find out”if the team is ready for a long playoff run.
The regular-season finale was marked by a slippery ball and turf, which affected the team's performance at times.
