Polaris Industries Sells Indian Motorcycle
Indian Motorcycle announced that it will retain the majority of its team after the sale.
Polaris Industries announced the sale of Indian Motorcycles to California-based Carolwood LP, a private equity firm, on Monday, October.
- The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026.
- About 900 employees will transition to the new Indian Motorcycle Company at its manufacturing facilities in Spirit Lake and Monticello, Minnesota, and a design and technology center in Switzerland.
Polaris is confident in Indian Motorcycle’s future success under Carolwood ownership and will maintain a small equity position in the business after the transaction closes.
