Zelensky and Trump to Meet in Washington
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump confirmed plans to meet in Washington on October 17.
The meeting will follow two phone calls between the leaders regarding Ukraine's air defenses and long-range capabilities, in the wake of escalating Russian attacks.
The phone calls "were not enough" to discuss all key topics, said Zelensky at a press conference alongside EU diplomacy chief Kaja Kallas.
The planned summit, which is said to take place at the invitation of Washington, will be the fifth meeting between Trump and Zelensky since the US president returned to office in January.
