China Slams US Over “Double Standards”
China accused the United States of “double standards” after President Donald Trump unveiled a new 100 percent tariff targeting Chinese goods.

An unnamed Chinese Ministry of Commerce spokesperson made this statement in response to Trump's announcement.
President Trump announced the additional tariffs, set to begin on 1 November, as a response to China’s “extraordinarily aggressive” new export restrictions on rare-earth minerals.
- The tariff would be levied "over and above any tariff they are currently paying".
- The effective date may arrive sooner depending on further Chinese actions.
