Withycombe Rugby Club Win in Tight Encounter

For the second week in a row, Withycombe Rugby Club kept everyone on the edge of their seats in a match that proved the adage "a game of two halves".

Withy established an early lead and effectively managed a challenging second half to secure the win. Playing down the slope, they started strongly and made their way downfield with intent.

With the ball finding Archie Symons on the edge of the 22, it was swiftly under the posts and with the conversion from captain Dean Seals, Withy were 7-0 up after two minutes.

The blistering start continued, and with the scrum stolen against the head just inside their own half, a break from Ethan Wildgoose freed up space for Ben Dawson to open up down the left wing and get the first of his two consecutive tries in the match.

Author's summary: Withycombe Rugby Club wins a tight match.
