Citizens Document Covered Bridge Damage at Silk Road
According to Jonah Spivak, communications coordinator for the Town of Bennington, "This time it was the Silk Road Bridge that got hit,"
"And, again, this was someone who did the damage"
The Silk Road Covered Bridge is one of three bridges spanning the Walloomsac River in close proximity.
- The Henry Bridge, damaged in a hit and run by a box truck, was recently repaired by Vermont Barns of Dover.
- The repair crew consisted of four members: River Elliott, Zak Mackay, Kainen Mattison, and Jason Jasurda.
Vermont Barns of Dover specializes in timber frame builds, using "century old hand-cutting techniques" to craft custom barns and barn-style homes.
