Jetstar Expands Avalon Airport Services
On Monday, 10 November 2025, Jetstar announced its largest expansion from Melbourne Avalon Airport, introducing new international flights to Bali, resuming flights to Adelaide, and increasing services to Brisbane.
This significant growth will add over 330,000 new low-fare seats annually through Melbourne's second airport, enhancing travel options for local passengers and boosting tourism to support Victoria's economy.
New Bali Route Launch
Jetstar's Bali service will mark its first international flight from Melbourne Avalon, a milestone for the airport's primary carrier.
Jetstar is celebrating with a 48-hour sale on all Melbourne Avalon routes starting midday today, featuring domestic fares from $29 and Bali fares from $199.
Beginning 23 March 2026, Jetstar will operate five weekly return flights between Melbourne Avalon and Bali's Denpasar airport using Airbus A321LR aircraft, adding over 120,000 seats annually.
The direct flight time is just over six hours, offering a convenient travel option for passengers from Melbourne, Geelong, the Surf Coast, and Bellarine Peninsula to experience Bali's beaches, culture, and hospitality.
