Rachel Sennott explained to Deadline that Ayo Edebiri, a close friend, was involved in the creation of her role. Emma Barrie added that Ayo chose to portray her delusional pop star character with a British accent, which made the role distinct.
"I pitched the idea of a character to Ayo over a video call," Rachel Sennott told Bustle, highlighting how Ayo helped shape the character’s quirks and comedic style.
The development of Edebiri’s role was clearly collaborative, and Sennott expressed genuine satisfaction with the outcome.
Other Notable Cast Members
Ayo Edebiri is not the only notable star in I Love LA. Leighton Meester, known for her role in Gossip Girl, appears as Rachel Sennott’s character’s boss. Sennott praised Meester enthusiastically in an interview with Bustle, describing her as an idol turned co-star.
