Arc Raiders Overtakes Classics as the Highest-Rated Multiplayer Shooter
Since its release on October 30, Arc Raiders has surged in popularity, dominating the multiplayer shooter scene. Both fans and critics have praised its combat mechanics, weapon design, and challenging enemies.
Competing in a space filled with industry titans like Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Fortnite, this new title has achieved what few others have: becoming the highest-rated multiplayer shooter in its genre.
“Arc Raiders has an impressive score of 93 on OpenCritic and a perfect 100 from players,” reported GamesRadar.
By comparison, other popular franchises have lower ratings. Overwatch 2 holds a 77 from critics and a 60 from players. Apex Legends fares slightly better with 81 and 70, while Counter Strike 2 sits at 80 and 70 respectively. Even Battlefield 6, released shortly before Arc Raiders, scored 84 from critics and 90 from players — still unable to surpass the newcomer’s success.
