Electronic Arts is ending online services for four of its older AAA racing games tomorrow, November 8th. This follows a recent trend of EA winding down support for legacy titles, including the October shutdown of online services for Need for Speed: Rivals.
All four games were developed by Codemasters and originally released between 2011 and 2014 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC platforms.
While these games will remain fully playable offline, their online multiplayer features will be permanently disabled once the servers go offline. This decision marks the end of online play for these titles.
“EA will be ending all of its online components for four different racing games.”
There is a possibility that two other games may also have their services terminated soon, though these have not been officially announced.
EA is concluding online support for four classic racing games developed by Codemasters, leaving offline play intact but ending online multiplayer forever.
Author's takeaway: EA continues to phase out support for legacy games, focusing on newer titles by shutting down online servers, impacting multiplayer availability while preserving offline gameplay.
