Watch: Netflix Teases 'Stranger Things: Tales from '85' Animated Series
Netflix announced an animated spinoff of the popular supernatural series, set to premiere in 2026 under the title Stranger Things: Tales From '85. The story unfolds between Seasons 2 and 3, following Eleven, Mike, Max, Lucas, Dustin, Will, and Hopper as they face a paranormal mystery during the winter of 1985 in Hawkins.
Details of the New Spinoff
The showrunner of the project is Eric Robles, with Matt and Ross Duffer, co-creators of the original series, serving as executive producers. Netflix unveiled an announcement trailer featuring short animated scenes and early concept art.
“With animation there's really no limits,” Ross Duffer said. “Eric and his team can just go wild, and they have.”
