The 23rd annual Regent Park Film Festival will take place from November 27 to 30 in Toronto, offering four days of free movies, workshops, artist talks, and community events. As the city’s longest-running free film festival, it celebrates more than just films.
“Regent Park Film Festival (RPFF) is an award-winning, community based, charitable organization,” the team explains. “RPFF amplifies and centres marginalized communities and their stories. We believe everyone should be able to make and experience film and art, regardless of their financial status.”
After a summer of movie nights Under the Stars, the festival now offers a broader experience of film and art for all community members.
This year’s program includes 43 films that reflect “the everyday acts of care that sustain us and our communities, even as the world moves through both loss and joy.”
The festival places a strong emphasis on community involvement, creating a platform for marginalized voices and stories to be shared and celebrated.
It offers opportunities for everyone to engage with filmmaking and art, regardless of economic background.
