Comedian Alan Carr has humorously called his fellow Celebrity Traitors contestants “thick” after none of them realized he was secretly eliminating them throughout the series. Ahead of the show's finale, he traveled to Florida, describing himself as “the most hated man in the UK” following the removal of beloved star Celia Imrie and his friend Paloma Faith on the BBC show.
“That’s why I’m in America. I’m the most hated man in Britain.”
Speaking to Heart Radio from Universal Studios in Orlando, where he was spending time with his niece and nephew, Alan confessed he was surprised no one had guessed he was the Traitor.
“I’ve got loads of celebrity friends, but are they thick? I’m giggling when people are murdered. When they don’t come down for breakfast, I just stick cheese in my mouth.”
At 49, Alan admitted that his role as a TV villain was both funny and exhausting.
“It’s stressful murdering every day… but I’m getting a taste for it.”
Meanwhile, fellow contestant Cat Burns, 25, told The Times she’s handling the sudden fame by mostly staying home, calling the experience “a bit mad.” Another participant, Kate Garraway, recently banished from the competition, predicted Alan could win. Speaking to BBC Radio Two, she praised his unpredictable charm.
“I think he’s going to win. I’m going to say it now.”
Kate added that Alan’s uncontrollable laughter during the challenges might have been his secret weapon for survival.
Alan Carr reflects with humor on being the main Traitor in the BBC show, calling himself Britain’s “most hated man” while others view his chaotic charm as his key to success.
