Charlie McAvoy recovered a loose puck in the left corner, skated across the zone, and sent a low shot from the goal line. Linus Ullmark made the first stop, but Zacha was quick to push in the rebound at the right post.
Morgan Geekie and Sean Kuraly added goals for Boston. Andrew Peeke contributed two assists, while Joonas Korpisalo stopped 20 shots to secure the win for the Bruins (9-7-0).
For the Senators (6-5-3), Claude Giroux had a goal and an assist, Michael Amadio also scored, and Ullmark recorded 22 saves. The team was playing its first game since a 4-3 overtime loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday.
