Florida’s Olivier Rioux, standing 7-foot-9, made his highly anticipated debut against North Florida, setting a record as the tallest player in college basketball history.
With the Gators leading comfortably 104-64, a crowd of 10,065 erupted chanting “Oli, Oli, Oli,” celebrating the world’s tallest teenager and fan favorite. Despite not having played since arriving in summer 2024, Rioux entered the game with 2:09 left, as UF was ahead 102-61.
