Flinders Port Holdings floats into Christmas Pageant

Flinders Port Holdings Debuts Custom Float at Adelaide Christmas Pageant

Flinders Port Holdings (FPH) has introduced a specially designed float for this year’s National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant in Adelaide, emphasizing the crucial role of maritime trade in delivering festive joy to South Australians.

Celebrating Maritime Trade

FPH highlighted the significance of maritime trade by participating in the pageant, which traditionally marks the beginning of the Christmas season in South Australia. The event starts at 9:30 am on Saturday, 8 November, marked by the blowing of the golden whistle.

Dating back to 1933, the Christmas Pageant attracts thousands of spectators of all ages lining the city streets to celebrate the festive season.

Details of the FPH Float

“We are thrilled to finally unveil our FPH float,” FPH stated in a social media post.

The float is designed to honor the essential role maritime trade plays in bringing festive cheer and gifts every year.

“Our float is particularly special—it's the first custom-built float to join the pageant in five years, proudly featuring a replica of one of our Pilot boats, alongside a crew of straddle carriers, containers, and FPH elves ticking off Christmas gifts.”
“The blue fabric ruffle below adds the perfect finishing touch, creating the illusion of the Pilot Boat gliding through water.”

Official Launch and Celebration

This week, FPH officially launched the float at Outer Harbor, with some of their “FPH elves” joining in the festivities.
