Acting legend Glenn Close, now 78, admitted it took her some time to grasp the tone and concept of Ryan Murphy’s new drama All’s Fair, in which she plays the strong-willed matriarch Dina Standish. The series, streaming on Disney+, centers on a group of women launching their own divorce law firm in a male-dominated field.
Close, an eight-time Academy Award nominee known for her roles in Fatal Attraction, Dangerous Liaisons, and many theater productions, is stepping into new territory with Murphy’s television world. She leads a star-studded cast that includes Kim Kardashian, Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash, and Naomi Watts.
“It took me a little while to get the show,” Close said while speaking to PinkNews and other outlets before the premiere.
According to the official synopsis, All’s Fair follows ambitious female attorneys who leave a male-run firm to launch their own powerhouse practice. The trailer, released last month, was met with praise for its bold and irreverent energy. Kardashian plays Allura Grant, the rival to Sarah Paulson’s character, Carrington Lane.
Glenn Close reveals that joining Ryan Murphy’s All’s Fair challenged her with new creative ground, showcasing her adaptability among a dynamic cast of powerful women.
