East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) has decorated six of its vehicles with designs to honor the armed forces for Remembrance Day.
The ambulance service stated that these vehicles pay tribute to the sacrifices made by the armed forces and will rotate through various operational hubs so different crews can work on them.
"It's important that we recognise and respect the sacrifices made in conflicts around the world - both within our communities and among our staff."
Terry Hicks, Deputy Director for Emergency Operations Centres at EEAST, emphasized the significance of acknowledging these sacrifices.
"This kind of recognition can make a real difference to someone who may be struggling, helping them feel safe to speak up and seek support."
Mr. Hicks led the initiative, describing the decorated vehicles as a clear demonstration of the service’s support for armed forces personnel.
Beyond the decorated vehicles, EEAST is applying poppy decals to other vehicles in its wider fleet to commemorate Remembrance Day on 11 November.
"The Remembrance ambulances are a powerful symbol of our respect and gratitude, and they reflect the values of compassion and community that underpin everything we do at EEAST."
Neill Moloney, Chief Executive of EEAST, highlighted how these tributes represent the organization's core values.
EEAST honors the armed forces through decorated ambulances and poppy decals, fostering respect and support across its teams and community.
