Remembrance Day 2025

This Remembrance Day, we take a moment to honour all who have served and sacrificed in past and present conflicts. We reflect on their vital role in securing our freedom and extend support to current and former Armed Forces members and their families.

Local Observances

Many places of worship around Manchester will observe a two-minute silence. On campus, The Holy Name Church will hold a silence on 9th November at 11am. For details, please contact your local place of worship.

University of Manchester Commemoration

Representatives from the North West Officer Training Corps, University of Manchester, Multifaith Chaplains, alongside university members and the public, will assemble in John Owen’s Quad at 10:45am. Attendees are asked to arrive before this time.

A two-minute silence will begin promptly at 11am.

We invite everyone to join in this respectful observance to remember and support those connected to the Armed Forces community.
