Cadets to Hold Vigil Before Remembrance Day in Brantford

Communities across Canada, including Brantford, are set to honor those who have served and continue to serve during times of war and peace. Citizens are invited to participate and pay their respects.

Details of the Vigil and Ceremony

Remembrance Day Civic Service

The service begins at 10:50 a.m. with an aerial fly-past by a B-25 Mitchell bomber and an FF46 Firefly aircraft from the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, weather permitting.

“We encourage members of our community to join us on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, as we remember, with deep respect and immense gratitude, the remarkable sacrifices of others,” said Sharon Sayles, communications advisor for the City of Brantford.

Special Recognitions

A student from John’s College, who won a local speech-writing contest, will present her speech titled The Role of Canadian Soldiers in War One.

The ceremony will also honor the names of one First World War veteran and 22 Second World War veterans, identified as missing from the Brant War Memorial earlier this year.

Author's summary: Brantford's Remembrance Day events combine a solemn vigil, a commemorative march, and tribute ceremonies to honor local veterans and the sacrifices made in war and peace.
