Roche announced the availability of its Accu-Chek SmartGuide continuous glucose monitoring solution in South Africa.
This solution provides enhanced glucose monitoring and artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled predictive insights for people living with diabetes over 18.
Diabetes is a significant healthcare challenge, with 4.2 million people living with the condition in South Africa as of 2024.
If left unmanaged, diabetes can lead to complications such as cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, and mental health issues.
