A study published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal reports a decline in opioid prescriptions in most Canadian provinces.
The study, titled "Trends in prescription opioid use for pain in Canada: a population-based repeated cross-sectional study of six provinces", found a "progressive decline" in the dispensing of prescription opioids in recent years.
