4 Early Voting Takeaways, By The Numbers
Newly registered voters turned out in large numbers, while unaffiliated voters were less likely to vote early.
More than 732,000 New Yorkers cast their ballots during the 9-day early voting period, accounting for nearly 14% of the 5.3 million registered voters in the city.
This year's early voting numbers are 65% of the total votes cast in the 2021 general election, where
Democrat Eric Adams crushed Republican Curtis Sliwa.
