Sudbury Contractor Remains in Court Despite Staying of Fraud Charges
Sudbury contractor David Murray continues to be embroiled in a prolonged legal battle over more than 40 counts of alleged fraud, despite a judge's decision to stay the charges due to Charter rights violations.
Murray spent October 31 in court listening to further submissions on the charges, which are currently meaningless due to an ongoing appeal. The case involves allegations of defrauding clients of $800,000.
Justice Sharon Murphy has ruled that the entire case has taken too long.
