New Zealand's fullback Keano Kini played a key role in the team's 40-14 win over Tonga in the Pacific Cup.

- Tonga's second-rower Eliesa Katoa was injured during the warm-up and left the field twice for head injury assessments (HIAs).
- Coach Kristian Woolf stated that Katoa did not require a concussion test despite hitting the turf before the match.

Woolf said, adding that the medical staff were comfortable with Katoa's participation in the game.
New Zealand will face Samoa in the Pacific Cup final on November 9.
