Trio bag £2.9bn Sellafield infrastructure delivery deal
Morgan Sindall, Costain and Hochtief have secured a 15-year deal at the Sellafield nuclear clean-up site.
The trio will work on Sellafield’s new Infrastructure Delivery Partnership (IDP), a long-term arrangement designed to modernise and maintain the site’s essential services, including power, water, transport and security systems.
- Morgan Sindall will act as electrical distribution partner
- Costain will handle utilities, worth up to £1bn
- Hochtief will lead civils delivery, worth £595m
The firms will handle everything from detailed design and procurement to construction, commissioning and handover, supporting Sellafield’s nuclear decommissioning and waste management work.
The new Infrastructure Delivery Partnership set-up replaces the Infrastructure Services Alliance with Morgan Sindall and Arup
