Children gathered at the community centre for the second annual Kiwanis Club of Rodney-hosted event.
The Rodney Community Centre gymnasium was filled with laughter and creativity as 22 large orange pumpkins were transformed into jack-o-lanterns in preparation for Halloween night.
The Kiwanis Club of Rodney hosted its second annual pumpkin carving night, drawing children, parents and even a few grandparents.
Using safe carving tools supplied by the Kiwanians, participants worked through the thick-walled gourds to create expressive faces featuring arched eyebrows, wide eyes, pointed noses and toothy grins — some friendly, others suitably fearsome.
Special thanks go to Julian Gervais of Over the Top Produce for providing the pumpkins.
